Shortly after my family and I moved to the Washington, D.C. area from the South Pacific island of Papua New Guinea I got my first DSLR camera for my 15th birthday and began carrying it everywhere with me trying to capture life just as I saw it. I immediately became enamored by the majestic buildings around the city--specifically the Capitol. I dreamt of creating timeless art that felt like a familiar song and brought a smile every time it was seen.
